School and college students must be in year 12 (England & Wales) or S5 (Scotland) and be attending a state school. Applicants must also meet the criteria as set out here.

This programme is aimed at students who have the potential to become great lawyers and specifically those that are from backgrounds which research shows are less likely to achieve a place at university and are less likely to make it into the legal profession.

School/College leavers require GCSE grades 4 or above with at least a 6 in Maths and English, plus A-Level grades at ABB (or equivalent). Career changers meeting the above criteria are also encouraged to apply.

England, Wales, NI and International: Non law students in their penultimate or final year of study, additionally all graduates and candidates from a non law career background.
Scotland: Second year law students. Penultimate year non-law Scottish students can apply for the programme in an English location.

England, Wales and NI: Law students in their penultimate or final year and non-law students in their final year of study. Additionally, all graduates and candidates from a non-law career background.
Scotland: Law students in their penultimate or final year. Accelerated LLB students: First or second year. Non-law and BA Scottish students are eligible to apply for programmes in an English office from their final year onwards.
International: Law or non-law students in their final year; all graduates.

Required to have a non-law degree, but must not have undertaken either the GDL / PGDL / LPC or SQE. If you’re a non-law student going into, or in, your final year, you are also eligible to apply.
