CMS Holborn Asia is a formal law alliance in Singapore between CMS Singapore and Holborn Law LLC.  Together the alliance operates as a full service office that services the Asia Pacific region. We act across all stages of our clients’ projects and investment lifecycle providing legal expertise in transactional, commercial, regulatory & disputes advice. Our Singapore based lawyers are qualified in various jurisdictions including, Singapore, the UK, the US, Australia, Indonesia, and Malaysia. Many also have native bilingual proficiency, including Malay, Indonesian, Gujarati, Hindi, Marathi, Mandarin and Tamil.

Singapore Internship

Law students from Singapore universities:

  • Students must have completed at least one full year of studies
  • Internship periods are Mid-December to Mid-January and Mid-May to End-of-August

Law students from universities outside of Singapore:

  • Students must have completed at least one full year of studies and who are Singapore citizens or Singapore permanent residents
  • Internship periods are Mid-December to Mid-January and Mid-May to End-of-August

Applications open throughout the year. From the internship, you could be considered for a  direct offer for a Singapore Training Contract.

Singapore Training Contract

*2-year Training Contract

*Commencing 2027, mandatory one year training.  Second year training as part of a broader international program (trainees will become associates after successful completion of Year 1)

Year 1:

  • Practice Training Contract, including Part A&B of the Bar Exams
  • 2 x Practice Group rotations (6 months per team)
  • Fully funded Part A&B of the Bar Exam
  • Admission to Singapore Bar

Year 2:

  • 2 x Practice Groups rotations (6 months per team)
  • Option to study for SQE and cross-qualify in England & Wales
  • Newly qualified (NQ) process support
