Choosing how to start your legal career is a big decision. Our solicitor apprenticeship gives you the chance to earn while you learn, gain meaningful legal experience from day one, and build the skills, confidence and judgement to thrive in a high-performing firm.
From your first day, you’ll be part of a fee-earning team, learning alongside experienced colleagues, contributing to real work and building the professional habits that support long-term success. Our six-year apprenticeship lets you work and study at the same time: you’ll be enrolled on a Law Degree in Legal Practice and Skills (LLB) with the University of Law, before progressing to the Solicitors Qualifying Examinations (SQE). One day a week is dedicated to study, with the rest spent gaining hands-on experience across our practice groups.
You’ll be supported from the outset with a structured induction, dedicated supervision and regular feedback, and you’ll be part of an established apprenticeship network across CMS – because when we all grow, we all benefit. You don’t need to have everything figured out from the start. What matters is your motivation, your willingness to learn and your commitment to performing at your best.
